Change Team:
Season Update/Meeting
by posted 05/20/2020

Hey everybody,

Just a reminder that we have I have a Zoom call set up for the team tonight at 6 p.m.

I'm hoping everybody can make it. The link to the meeting was emailed out to the team on Monday.

In that email, I included some information on a potential return to play this season. A lot has to happen for it to work out. Especially with the safety of the players and families being our highest priority.

Soccer Field Practice
by posted 03/02/2020

Just a reminder that today's practice is split up at two locations.

Practice will start at the soccer fields and then we will move over to the batting cages.

Please plan on meeting near the playground area of the soccer field area where we will meet for about 20 minutes or so before heading over to the batting cages.

If you are available to help out today in the cage area please let me know. We might need some help running a station or making sure the kids stay in line. There is another team scheduled to use the cages right after us so we are going to need to finish on time.

Uniform Update
by posted 02/25/2020

We should have our uniforms by Thursday night. I would prefer not to be passing jerseys, socks, belts, and hats out on Saturday morning of Opening Day so we will be setting up a uniform pickup on Friday at a location and time to be determined.

At the end of Saturday's game, we will also be collecting each player's hats so that we can have their names stitched on and returned in time for the following Saturday game.

Also, just a reminder that we will be wearing black pants this season. If you have not already purchased them, please do so. Also, we will be wearing gold 3/4 sleeves as well. These are optional.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you

Uniform update
by posted 02/09/2020

Hello everybody. Meant to send this along earlier, but we will be wearing black pants this season.

We will also be wearing gold 3/4 sleeve undershirts (not required).

All players need to have the black pants prior to Opening Day. The league provides each player with a jersey, belt, socks, and hat. The hat you received on cap night is not the hat for the season. Each player will be getting a fitted hat as part of their full uniform.

We do not have the field reserved tomorrow so we will be practicing out on the grass field. I usually try to set up near the playground area so please be in that general area. We will only be in that location for about 30 minutes and then head over to the batting cages. If anybody is willing to help out at the cages please let me know. I'm going to try to run as many stations as possible so we don't have too many kids standing around with bats in their hands.

As always if you have any questions or concerns feel free to reach out to me at any time.

Thank you

Volunteer Opportunities
by posted 02/07/2020

Everybody should have received the email from Tracie Walton (see below), but in case you have not, it is included below.
Please make sure to reach out to Tracie and let her know if you are interested in any positions.
Just as a heads up, Dugout Parent and Silent Auction Basket have been spoken for, but have not been officially claimed.
I want to thank Tracie for stepping up and taking on the role this season.
I will see everybody tomorrow. Please make sure to bring your filled out concussion form if you did not turn it into Coach Elias last Saturday.
Hi team,
I'm taking over Team Mom duties this year for our Dirtbags.  The first thing on our list is to make sure we have all our mandatory volunteer positions taken care of.   Just a reminder, all families need 4 volunteer points per player.  This is a list of positions we need to fill.  Let me know if you want to take one of them and earn your points.  There is a field parent (set up/clean up field) training either this Sat. from 9-12  or Sat. Feb.22 from 9-12.  Here is a reminder of the volunteer opportunities.
Mandatory Volunteer Positions:
Sponsorship-$300 (4pts)
Silent Auction Basket-$100 minimum value (4pts)
Field Parent (4pts)
Dugout Parent (4pts)
Other ways to earn points-
snack  bar (1.5 hr =1 pt)
picture day volunteer
There will be some other random help that is needed that will come up throughout the season as far as special events that you can earn points as well.  Mother's Day, Grandparents Day, etc.
I will try to print out some important dates and information for the season and for our team and bring it Saturday to practice.
Here's hoping I'm half as good as Emily at this job!  See you all tomorrow!
